Semyon Zakharyaev immigrated to Israel in May 2022 from Saint Petersburg, Russia, bringing with him over a decade of experience in violin instruction and a rich international background as a classical performer.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Saint Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, where he studied under Professor Alexander Shustin. Earlier in his musical journey, he trained with Professor Savely Shalman, one of Russia’s leading violin educators.

Semyon’s teaching is grounded in sensitivity, professionalism, and a deep commitment to nurturing young talent. His students have achieved remarkable success in international competitions, including multiple first-place awards at the “St. Petersburg Art Assemblies” and top honors at the “St. Petersburg Spring” competition.

As a performer, Semyon has appeared in festivals across Germany, the USA, the UK, and Japan, and has received numerous awards – including the Grand Prix at the “St. Petersburg Spring” international competition.

We are proud to welcome Semyon to the faculty of the International Summer Masterclasses, where students will benefit from his inspiring musicianship, international perspective, and passion for education.
