Lina Levin Gutman immigrated to Israel from Moscow at the age of 15. She immediately enrolled at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and later earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Tel Aviv Academy of Music. She participated in numerous projects with the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and performed in festivals in Israel and abroad. Lina continued her musical education at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.

Upon returning to Israel, she worked as a freelance violist with various orchestras nationwide. For six years, she served as principal violist of the Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, appeared as a soloist with the orchestra, and took part in its chamber music initiatives.

She was later accepted as a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and performed with the ensemble for many years as a substitute violist.

In the past decade, Lina has focused on music education, teaching in numerous conservatories across Israel. Her teaching includes work at the Polyphony Conservatory in Nazareth and the conservatory in Kalansuwa, where she contributed to Arab–Jewish music initiatives. She has also taught at conservatories in Kfar Yona, Ma'ale Adumim, Petah Tikva, Rosh HaAyin, Eshkol, and Netivot.

Lina had the privilege of studying under Prof. Chaim Taub, Yuri Gandelsman, Gad Lebertov, Gad Kogan, and Prof. Donald McInnes.
