Dan Rapoport is the Artistic Director of the Quadrivium Ensemble Orchestral (Venice, Italy). He served as Principal Guest Conductor with the Florence Symphonietta. He has conducted in Italian opera houses such as Teatro San Carlo Napoli, Teatro Filarmonico Verona, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Malibran Venice. He has conducted in Macerata Opera Festival, Israel Festival, Monteverdi Festival, David Oistrakh Festival, Estonia. He has conducted Orchestras such as St. Petersburg Academy Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, The London Soloists, I Pomeriggi Musicali Milan, The BBC Singers London, Ensemble 900 Lugano, Switzerland, Ensemble Meitar Tel Aviv.
Dan Rapoport is an expert of 20th century music, the music of Terezin and Italian baroque opera. He has conducted concerts in historical places such as: Auschwitz – Birkenau (European ceremony of the Holocaust Memorial day 2009 Radio television broadcast), Orfeo by Monteverdi at the composer’s grave, Terezin Concentration Camp (Brundibar by Hans Krasa), Concerti by Vivaldi at the composer’s Church, Venice Ghetto, Yad Vashem Museum,Venice Carnival. A dynamic and versatile clarinetist, he studied with Richard Stolzman and Walter Boeykens. He performs as a soloist and with chamber music ensembles. Dan Rapoport teaches music making and theory. He has taught at the Tel Aviv University, Jerusalem Music Academy, Italian State Music Conservatory of Verona, Forlì University and Telma Yalin music high school. He was given the key of honour of the Italian City of Portobuffolè (2009).
